I've wrestled over the wording, and I think your concern is justified. For now, I'm planning to use "to receive a reckoning," which may be better. Let me know what you think.

I happened upon your Blog this morning and delighted to read the excellent modernization of the LBCF.
I am the Chair of the Deacons in our church and frequently refer them to various sections of the confession. Thank you for your labor of love in bringing the Confession into the 21st century.
Now this is not meant as a criticism of your fine work, but rather a question on the use of a particular word. Chap.22,The Last Judgment. first paragraph, last part of last sentence reads in part "to give an account...and to receive repayment.... The word repayment is a noun and means to pay back, like repaying a debt. Payment,on the other hand,also a noun,carries the idea of,'and act of paying for'.Like a reward. My question is, will people be paid or repaid? No big deal just a thought.
